"It is said that great things have small beginnings. In a modest villa, on the 4th of July 1992, we established a small nursery school by the name of Jeddah Montessori. I never ever dreamed that one day it would become an accredited international school of repute.
Today Al Waha International School stands tall as a symbol of humility and dedicated service to the community. All success that has been achieved has only been due to Allah’s endless blessings. It is impossible to list all of His blessings, but I feel obliged to specially mention one, which I consider has served as the backbone of success and accomplishment of the school.
I am truly blessed to have as part of my institution, sincere, committed, and hard working people who I believe firmly, are responsible for its overall success. No amount of appreciation and gratitude will suffice to justify the contribution the management, teachers, and the rest of the staff have made towards making Al Waha what it is today. I sincerely pray to Allah to bless them all with His choicest blessings. I pray that knowledge imparted at the school becomes a source of enlightenment for generations to come. I wish you well!"
The school draws its philosophy from its motto ‘O Lord, Increase My Knowledge’, a quote from the Holy Quran. The Al Waha International School is dedicated to serving a diverse student body and promoting the realization of each student’s full intellectual potential in line with its mission.
From the Holy Quran and the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (P.B.U.H.) we take the values we are committed to imparting: respect for each person’s dignity, truthfulness, the habit of prayer and the quest for knowledge. We strive to teach values and morals that will help students grow into caring and compassionate adults and become responsible members of society.
Our aim is to be teachers of integrity, helping students to discern moral truths and guiding them through careful moral reasoning in making decisions. We strive to instill in ourselves, and in the children entrusted in our care, a commitment towards justice, courage, love for our fellow beings, humility and service to others.
Al Waha International School is aware of its social responsibilities. To serve a broader spectrum of the expatriate community, the school keeps fees at affordable levels, yet continues to aspire to high standards.
Having opened its doors to the community more than 25 years ago, Al Waha International School, a private, licensed day school, has matured into an institution of commendable repute, known for its esteemed ethical and academic standards and a closely knit community of teachers, students and the parent body. At Al Waha, in addition to providing quality education, the stimulation of intellectual curiosity, freedom of expression, fairness, and respect for others are major target areas of achievement.
